Underage round up, 27th September

This week was an unfortunate one for City's u20s as they went out of the u20 league after a 1-0 defeat away to Tralee Dynamos .
Knowing that a win would have been enough to see City qualify into the knockout stages from pool 4, the rebel army started brighly with Simon Holland and Kieran Kenneally troubling the  Tralee goal before  Willie Heffernan's shot hit the post after 18 mins.  City dominated possession in the first 45 mins but failed to turn that into goal chances .
On 65 mins , City went a goal down when Ian O'Sullivan was beaten in the City goal by Jason Higgins header .
City  mainly through the efforts of Simon Holland attempted to get an equaliser but sadly it never came. Results eslewhere in the group meant that Mervue United and Salthill Devon qualified for the knockout stages of the u20 league from  pool 4.

City team:
Ian O'Sullivan, Jason Higgins, Gary Buckley, Alan Sheehan(Danny Morrissey 64 mins) , Dalian Roche, Willie Heffernan, Wayne  Burton(Brendan Cullan 54 mins) , Keith O' Sullivan, Simon Holland, Kieran Kenneally, Eoin Mc Greevey  .

Elsewhere, the youth side we in action along with the first team on Friday night and  they played our a great 6-1 win over Castleview .  City's scorers were Des Mallon(2)  , Jason Higgins(penalty) , Eoin Mc Greevey, Cian O' Connor and Ian Mc Conville .
Next up for    Paul Bowdren's side is cup action as City play in the FAI youth cup with a home tie against Douglas Hall  .

City's u17s had  a brilliant 7-2 win away to Temple United.
Danny Morrissey hit a hat trick for Stephen Birmingham's side.    Josh Kra, Roy Collins, Shane Long and Mark Quinn got the other goals .
Next for them is a home game with Carrigaline .
